Traveling and Networking

Currently our club is working towards a long-term goal. This goal is trying to get our club known to other organizations any way that we can. This includes trying to get all of our members to participate in one of a few events of there choosing. We have discussed the possibility that within the school year we may attend one of three different venues if we have proper means to do so. Three possible locations so far:

Las Vegas(DEF CON)
Toronto (blackhat training)
Los Angeles(E3 Gaming Convention)

Hack the Box

HackTheBox is an amazing game like tool that offers a wide variety of challenges and competitions to teach anyone who has the time how to become an ethical hacker!

Teams and Universities

HackTheBox offers a way in which you can join up with other players around the world! You can accomplish this through the tab labeled My Team, located on the left side of HackTheBox's home page. Not only that, you could even enroll our university to compete in a league of our own, against other universities. It is worth noting that you have to be a high enough level or rank to do these events.

Labs

Labs is one of the many tools offered by HackTheBox to help you become more talented in terms of hacking. In this drop down box located under the My Team tab, you can find all the different challenges they offer, including things like Machines, Fortresses, and Endgames. You may also notice they have a lab lab labeled starting point, this is where most of us will be starting at hence the name.

Battle Grounds

Battlegrounds is one of the more unique aspects of HackTheBox. This tab allows you to go head to head with other people in real-time battles. Currently offering a race to the top style machine named Server Siege, and a typical attack and defend setting. This tab also allows you to communicate with other players in real time!

Current Events In Gaming

Stay up to date with all the latest and greatest news in gaming. The preferred method of doing this may vary from person to person, but the one I recommend is Gamerinformer. Gamerinformer is a multifacitied organization who has everything when it comes to gaming. If you're looking for the latest news via standard artical format, they've got it. Or if you're looking for videos, they have that too and much more including podcast and magazines.
